what is child labor?
Child labor is the use of children in an industry or business under the age of 18. It can be considered illegal, but others choose to ignore that fact. Child labor is not "light work" such as washing dishes or hanging clothes. Child labor includes children missing school, working dangerous jobs, and working in horrible conditions. (Annie 1).

Child labor can be found around the world. Here are some major places where it is located:
- China
- South Africa
- The United States

- Children who are minors, and who are under 14 years of age are to not to be employed or linked to any occupation.
- Children who are minors are to not be working during school hours & are not to be included in adult activities.
- Children who are the age of 14 or 15 years are also to not be employed.
These are only a few of the regulations on child labor. There are many more that are established around the world to protect the children who are in work force at a young age.
